Shill

To shill a coin or a project means promoting it, sometimes excessively, in the hope that other people will invest in it too. Shillers have usually already invested and are acting this way to protect their investment or to make more money from the rise in price that may occur if they are good influencers.

To shill something isn’t necessarily a negative behavior since the promoted asset may actually be a good investment opportunity. However, in some contexts shillers may be despised for their redundancy or lack of arguments.
